Forma is the third collection of outdoor furniture designed by Federica Capitani for Kenneth Cobonpue. The balanced shape makes it an easy armchair to sink into, ideal to recline in and let embrace you.

Federica started by creating small-scale clay models to explore how asymmetrical forms can best suit the body in a comfortable but distinctive way. The preferred model was digitalised to allow for further design development prior to numerous life-size models being built in Cebu. With the help of an exceptional craftsman, the first prototypes were formed using rattan which allowed for the development of the form in a preliminary capacity. Finally Forma was made in steel to set the harmony of the curves and refine details.

Forma is the result of two year’s worth of investigation. Unlike Trame and Adesso, the first two collections designed for Kenneth Cobonpue, Forma is made of lines that accommodate the body without using weaving to build supporting surfaces. The resulting thin steel frame is dressed with 3 different diameter threads that bring warmth and texture with a contemporary approach. Forma chair is available in 3 shade colours, Warm Grey, Terracotta and Warm White, and as right and left versions. A side table, coffee table, bistro table, as well as a day bed, complete the collection. The materials are all suitable for the outdoors: the framework is built in steel and the threads are is polyethylene.
