The Cultural Center St. Nikolaus was built to serve as a meeting place for the inhabitants of Ischgl. Local bands and clubs meet up there. The Cultural Center connects preserved history with the living present and with its remarkable architectural style it blends perfectly into the alpine surrounding.

The creative concept we worked out is based on the architecture of the Cultural Center and it’s location in the middle of the alps. The building with its striking silhouette and structure, inspired by the alpine surrounding, serves as the basis for the design language. By combining different elements from the defined design language, patterns and forms occur.

In this way signs and pictograms develop and appear as consistent elements of the guidance and information system. What has been created is an information system, as well as a corporate design, corresponding to the architectural style of the building. The consistent appearance generates brand recognition and underlines the uniqueness of Ischgl’s community and it’s Cultural Center.
