In 2013 Masterpiece Framing, an independent custom picture frame retailer, moved it’s operation to a new location in the old town district of Bloomingdale, Illinois. They purchased an renovated a 3,000 square foot building, built in the 1940’s, that was formerly the city’s post office. Having been in business for eleven years, the move allowed owner Matt Puchalski to rethink his company’s brand and created an opportunity for a fresh start. Puchalski performed much of buildout himself, with help from master craftsman Rene Jaramillo. The renovation included construction of partitioning walls, staining the concrete floors and adding LED lighting throughout the space. Masterpiece has seen an increase in business since moving into the new location. Besides picture framing, the company also offers photo restoration an digital printing services.
