Crios Store by KAMAKU design studio, Guatemala City – Guatemala

November 26th, 2015 by retail design blog

The store was designed to tell a Story. A Story based on a Royal Cottage. A concept that can be seen on the Branding as well as on the Interior Design of the space. The space is a balanced blend of natural materials and golden details, where this golden elements complement the Royal character of the Store.

Crios was born to bring high end fashion for the little ones; offering Spanish handmade pieces for children 0-36 months. When the Store concept was born, we wanted to get away from the usual pastels and neutrals. We wanted to sell Fashion, and we wanted a strong color throughout the whole store, that could make an elegant statement. The Visual Merchandising of the store was extremely important & since the product is so small, we wanted very neutral furniture pieces that could help us make the product stand out.

One of the main challenges in this project was the ceiling; since we had to work with a prefabricated structure and a very tight budget. We managed this by creating a simple plywood ceiling with beautiful handmade natural details. Crios is the result of a comprehensive project between Graphic and Retail Design.
