Onitsuka Tiger Store, Osaka – Japan

It took a little while, but after opening stores nationwide, Onitsuka Tiger has finally arrived in Osaka. And it makes up for lost time by opening one of the largest stores in the country. Situated in Shinsaibashi, one of the city’s most popular shopping grounds, the sneaker brand has found a two-storey location amidst a high concentration of premium brand stores and independent fashion boutiques. The store is loosely modeled after the Onitsuka Tiger flagship store in Tokyo it features the brand’s newest east/west-inspired design codes that captures natural materials, such as wood, stone and steel, in clean, modern design. The lofty ground floor presents the brand’s men’s and women’s collection, in addition to bags and accessories. in tandem with the brand’s growing profile as a true lifestyle brand, the new store also features a cozy café up on the first floor. To mark the opening, a special, limited-edition backpack has been released.
