Betra Bak Furniture Store by Ambiente, Reykjavik – Iceland

January 1st, 2016 by retail design blog

In 2015, Ambiente transformed the furniture store Betra Bak in Reykjavik into a dreamy universe for the heavy sleeper.

The store is characterised by a low-key ambience with its warm, dark nature colours, and soft fabrics. A cloudy, blue sky adorns the ceiling, so the customers can dream away to a far off place when trying the beds. The sparse Icelandic wildlife is brought inside the store with reindeer wall-decorations and fleeces on the beds.

Despite the dim, the products are put into focus with spotlights and pendant lamps of various kinds. A beautifully textured wallpaper creates a framing background for the custom-made wood counter in front.
