FormRoom worked in collaboration with That Group to create the ‘business spa’ conference suite, exclusively for the new Hilton Bournemouth. Featuring eight unique meeting spaces, FormRoom developed innovative installations that would capture the pace, creativity and diversity of business, both methods and materials.

Each installation was to promote productivity for guests by fitting within the bespoke design of each conference room. Meeting room themes range from ‘Rule’ and ‘Blot’, to ‘Poise’, which all reflect the order and organisation required in business. Created as a homage to effective administration and focusing on different historical eras, FormRoom created installations inspired by classic office equipment such as rulers and protractors to reflect the precision needed for decision making.

The ‘Not a Wind Up’ meeting room is about the importance of time management, so this sculpture features an original 30’s clocking in machine with origami clocking in cards; both a reminder of the importance of time management in business and a play on the old adage ‘time flies’. Whilst the ‘Not So Mad’ room references the creative industry, including the cult TV show, through vintage advertisements and 60’s pop-art figures detailed with character props.

Formroom worked closely with the client from initial concept to create spectacular bespoke installations that would both provide interest and detail to each room and create a cohesive inspiring professional environment. We coordinated each scheme from research, design and extensive sourcing through to fabrication and final installation.
