Perpetual Motion installation at Biennale Interieur 2016 by Studio Dessuant Bone, Kortrijk – Belgium

October 21st, 2016 by retail design blog

Allaert Aluminium and Studio Dessuant Bone present a series of interactive sculptures / installations, that embrace and fully highlight the Allaert Aluminium product & philosophy. These sculptures aim to utilise all the know how, high-end and creative orientated facets of the Allaert Aluminium brand, especially focus on the Otiima low profile frame system; in an approach that is both creative and informative.

The installation transposes basic architectural elements, such as windows and doors into sculptures. The colours, movement, form and dimensions of the sculptures aim to guarantee maximum exposure with a unique engaging experience. When approached by the Biennale to take part as one of the designers or artists to work alongside a brand to celebrate the 25th anniversary, we knew that we wanted to work alongside a company or brand that shared our values and philosophy as designers.

Working with Allaert Aluminium was an ideal collaboration for us for those reasons; When visiting Allaert Aluminium we quickly understood that the company is always striving to further the capabilities in their field and we knew that we had the potential to create something exciting and engaging together, this with the added facet that it is a local company with history in Kortrijk makes for the potential of a special project.
