“Nobilitare il nobilitato” (Ennobling melamine faced panels) is the project-installation born out of an idea by Cleaf, the Italian producer of surfaces for the furniture and interior design industry, and conceived by the architect Aldo Cibic. Set up in the CCube, the company’s creative hub in Lissone, “Nobilitare il nobilitato” wants to explain the sophisticated research and analysis process that leads to the design of high-performance surfaces for the furniture and interior design industry. A path to explore personally through a tunnel made of melamine faced panels in bright colors, in different textures and decors. Hung on the interior walls there is a series of fragments – production materials, photographic elaborations, samples and semi-finished products – that shows the birth of Sherwood and Penelope, two of the company’s best-selling textures.

“Observation and contact with the surrounding world generate unique sensory experiences for people.” – says Alessandro Carrara, General Manager of Cleaf Spa – “This awareness gave us the idea of transferring the tactile and visual sensations of the natural elements to chipboards and MDF panels coated with melamine decorative papers.”
“This exhibition was a special experience for me as I was allowed to see from an internal point of view a sophisticated production reality in all its aspects.” – says the Italian architect Aldo Cibic – “A model that, even using high tech know-how, has at its core a group of highly motivated and passionate people.”
