ATTIK Clothing store by McCartney Design, Sydney – Australia

This store is ATTIK’s first venture into the world of major shopping malls. ATTIK is a small independently owned chain and the designer’s task was to create a point of difference to all of the national and international tenants and to get noticed by mall shoppers.

The space was challenging – a 6m x 10m x 6m box with a column in the storefront. Full height glazing was not in the budget – so we decided to make the most of the volume.

There’s one big idea – the shopfront is the shop and the shop is the shopfront! Customers love the openness and accessibility, and the oversize dressing rooms we managed to create by not making a stock room.
