Café h_da by why the friday, Darmstadt – Germany

April 8th, 2017 by retail design blog

In cooperation with the studio for communication design KRAENK VISUELL we developed a interior design for the café of the professors and lecturers of the department computer sciences at the University for Applied Sciences Darmstadt. For the expansion of the existing café the room got combined with the office next door. That caused an room flooded with light that is well known as Oval Office. The new room is devided and structured by a room-in-room situation building the kitchen area, which stands out in the dark color.

During their breaks the employers are offered two different room areas – one open space invites you with large seating areas formed by wall niches, the other one can be used as a meeting area by closing the sliding glass doors. The vocabulary of color and materials shows the corporate design of the department computer sciences and makes the room special.
