Clarke’s Standard branding by RAO Creative, Athens – Georgia

April 8th, 2017 by retail design blog

A 1950’s municipal inspired restaurant and bar in Athens, GA. White painted brick and stark black trim with gold lettering on windows brought a previously ill-painted storefront back to an appropriate aesthetic. Interiors with brass globe light fixtures, mixed wood tones, and original exposed brick complete the spaces’ nod to 1950’s Athens.

The brand is rounded out with the identities use of WWII era typefaces along side of a strong but restrained use of red and blue palettes.

  1. The exposed brick walls bring character to this design, especially when integrated with the dark accented colors.
If the brand expands, re-creating the same inviting ambiance with wall covering is an option for the interior designer, in terms of brand continuity. We also wish Clarke’s Standard the very best with their new design, and launch!
