Volksbank Hohenlimburg by Kitzig Interior Design, Hohenlimburg – Germany

June 21st, 2017 by retail design blog

Times are changing – this bank branch has moved far beyond the typical image of a traditional business. The location at an exit road, next to a beverage market and an indoor gym, is unpretentious. The Volksbank logo colours as the only element remaining of the conventional branch creates identification and simultaneously serves as the guiding principle of the design.

Placed around the centre, the bank consultants’ rooms are equipped with padded walls and fluffy carpets that provide agreeable acoustics. Customers are seated on upholstered benches in front of floating tables. Mirrored cabinets add depth and light to rooms that are actually small and modest. On big screens, the customer is welcomed all over the world via video conference or skype.
