Götti Store by Thomas Frischknecht, Lucerne – Switzerland

July 18th, 2017 by retail design blog

The brand store of the Swiss eyeglass label, Götti Switzerland, opened at Mühlenplatz 1 in Lucerne. The history of Götti Switzerland began 23 years ago in Lucerne in the same rooms of the historical patrician building. Back then, Sven Götti founded the optician shop Götti + Niederer together with Urs Niederer and sold his first collection of eyeglasses there.

The straight-lined interior offers the ideal setting for the minimalistic titanium and acetate eyeglasses. What is also new is the entire assortment of the Götti Dimension, manufactured using 3D printing technology and the innovative Götti Perspective rimless project will be presented. The interior was kept completely in black and white, combined with a massive oak parquet.

The background of the reception area shows a “Wall of Fame” with personalities that are fans of Götti eyeglasses. Among others, you will find Tamy Glauser, Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Philipp Fankhauser, Stefanie Heinzmann, Greis, and Lea Lu.

The eye-catcher in the store is a chandelier that is manufactured from over 500 pairs of sunglasses from previous Götti collections. This unique light installation was specially designed for this store by the Zurich design studio Bureau Purée.
