To celebrate London Design Festival five artists will create live limited edition tea box designs. Contemporary Aussie tea specialist T2 will host a week-long open workshop at its Shoreditch store showcasing the talent of some of London’s most exciting and diverse artists and illustrators to celebrate this year’s London Design Festival. On Monday 18th September – Friday 22nd September T2’s store on Redchurch Street will be turned into an artist’s workshop.

Throughout the week five artists, all with different styles, will spend a day creating limited edition ‘one of one’ designs. The global tea brand’s iconic orange boxes will be given a whole new lease of life as the artist’s design, live, directly on to the cubed packaging – which for the first time have been turned white, ready for five days of creative expression. Each artist will take inspiration directly from the tea.

They will be invited to pick one of T2’s best-selling teas, pour themselves a cup and visually express the flavour and experience on to the box, inspired by the very tea they are enjoying at the time. The store will remain open to the public who are encouraged to come along and watch the artists in action. Customers will also be given the chance to walk away with a must-have, keep sake product as the artist’s limited edition boxes will be sold throughout the day for £20 each.
