In the South Korean Pyeongchang, Polish athletes competing for Olympic medals will wear outfits designed by 4F, for the fifth time in a row. But before the Games begin, those Olympic collections have been presented at world’s biggest sport fair –ISPO Munich 2018, where they were on display at a stand designed by architects from mode:lina™ studio.

Polish outfits are not the only Olympic collection by4F! This Polish brand have also prepared 2018 Winter Olympics gear for the teams representing Greece, Croatia, Latvia, Macedonia and Serbia. mode:lina™ designers were inspired by the mountains. Their simple form played the main part during the design process of the pavilion. The designers’ aim was to create a reference point, easily seen on the map of the fair hall, as distinctive as shelters high up in the mountains.

The main display was located in a construction inspired by modern mountain shelters. It consists of two joints cabins with characteristic sloped roofs. Its façade was covered with dark wood, often seen in traditional mountain architecture. The interior walls were, in contrast, lined with pine plywood, which gave it a feeling of warmth. The actual outfit collection is housed in the bigger cabin, while the smaller one was turned into a chill out area, similar to the interiors of mountain shelters. The cabins were raised by half a metre and surrounded by metal barriers, just like on a mountain trail. The designers put the flagship Olympic 4F collections in a separate saucer-shaped construction. It refers to a futuristic Meteorological Station built in 1974 at Śnieżka in the Karkonosze Mountains.
