Ortloff store by The-Store-Designers, Cologne – Germany

February 22nd, 2018 by retail design blog

Together with The Store Designers, Ortloff has succeeded in closing a market gap which became apparent in the premium and lifestyle sectors. The approximately 550 sqm ground floor is the “Belle Etage” of the venerous store in the heart of Colognes city center. It reflects the competence of Ortloff for high-quality writing instruments and paper products. The modernization was preceded by an intensive analysis of strategic positioning, including a new concept store area with a spectacular connection to the open store front with a lifestyle-oriented array of curated design accessories.

Customers may also enjoy a sip of good coffee at the pop-up espresso bar espresso meanwhile shopping. The conversion of the total 1,700 m² sales area took place in several steps, the first phase already in 2015 with the modernization of the lower floor. The complete redesign was finished in July 2017 and has been nominated recently for “stores of the year 2018” Award within the category “out of line”.
