Belle & Sue is a fashion store which started out as an online shop, then opened a temporary pop-up store – which finally became permanent right in the middle of Shenkin, one of Tel Aviv’s best shopping streets. It’s what they call an off-line store, a fact which the brand’s owners emphasized when they asked us to redesign their shop. The concept can be summed up in three words: nonchalant urban gallery. It’s a mix between a few worlds – not a super minimal gallery space but not too coldly urban either, and always keeping in mind the tech side of it all (it’s an offline store, remember?) To make this concept come alive we used a combination of concrete, solid wood and iron, as well as a touch of polycarbonate in the dressing rooms and shelves. As for lighting, we played around with light sources that add to Belle & Sue’s unique shopping experience. (They loved it, by the way.)
