Drawing inspiration from MGS’s angular forms, and the library’s distinctive flat plan, we created a line pattern based on a 45 degree slant. This element was then played out across a multitude of sign types encompassing wayfinding and statutory signs.

The zoning of the areas is coded using different colours. These facilitate orientation and are already in use in the calling system of the waiting area. The colour differentiation is continued in the signage and continues through until confirmation of arrival.

A beautiful new hall has been added to the old buildings, and the former chaotic muddle of juxtaposed language, architecture and routes through the complex is at once echoed and resolved in a signage system that draws on the forms, colours and formats of flag design.

The decorative stoves and fireplaces, vases, amphorae and plates turned our thoughts to the traditional Polish kitchen – a place filled with the aroma of home baking. It was the majolica ceramics that inspired the logo and set the direction for the visual identity of the Nieborów bakery.
