The buildings on the estate have a historical feel, but all this grandeur can be intimidating too. So Fitzroy wanted a more light-hearted approach to communication in order for Parc Broekhuizen to broaden its appeal to also include a younger crowd. Not by going crazy, but by turning historical elements into something hysterical.

Replacing Tails’ original old fashioned looking logo is a new bold black font with a mottled, uneven texture, as if the brand mark has been hand stamped. Sheridan&Co worked with Tails to devise the strapline ‘Masters Of Mixing, Batching & Imbibing’ which rests beneath the ‘Tails Cocktails’ logo, qualifying the heritage and craftsmanship values communicated in the overall look and feel of the label.
Natural brown, grey and red shades, rough surfaces, authentic old-fashioned fonts, abrasions and stamps, these concepts of brand identity are definitely full of history. The labels would happen amongst the industrial class old photos, and nowadays through the prism of contemporary graphic design they are especially relevant.
