Visitors could come into this space alone through a narrow entrance, walk slowly and circle the space with the playing of background music which has a sense of ritual. While looking through the gaps between the bamboos, semi-finished Chinese Southern lion and Chinese leather drum placed in the centre could be seen; it is like a journey from outside to inside of both your inner self and the environment.

The white boards are slightly raised on one side, to sit on top of a stone wall that belongs to the promontory the village has grown around. This stone also remains visible around the edge on the floor of the space, while granite tiles cover the rest.

Pleat Luster system by ARCHIEE, Paris – France

We developed this byobu system to provide all the required elements for the exhibition; including partitions, information panels, showcases and integrated lighting. We called this foldable product Pleat Luster and it became a product of the exhibition with the theme of tradition and high technology. This folding idea is applied to both the white screens and the black showcases.

Carwan Gallery has teamed up with Atibaia, a vineyard and winemaker from the northerly district of Batroun, and commissioned Beirut-based Studio 200 grs. to reinvent its latest vintage. The result is the artifacts by 200 grs. exhibition of a seemingly endless collection of wooden sculptures that explores the functionality of the wine bottle.

“Transparent shell” pavilion by Pone Architecture, Guangzhou – China

Titled “transparent shell”, the installation comprises 30 main bone models and three groups of large curves, which are built by multiple layers of woven transparent film. These undulating layers take on an organic and sinuous form, creating a variety of functional spaces, such as an entrance, wall, ceiling, window, desktop and seating area.

Espacio Colaborativo Nalca by Pedro Silva, Santiago – Chile

The space was conceived by designer Pedro Silva through his collaboration with Chilean Brand Nalca Shoes. Based on three axes of interdependent action, Espacio Colaborativo Nalca offers guidelines of production suggested by the space’s three architectural programs. These programs include a commercial platform, creative lab and exhibition gallery.
