Counterpointing the spatial variety, the uniform concrete surfaces and the black steel staircases create integration and clarity in the interior. Lacking additional decorative elements only the custom made counters, furniture and lighting fixtures respond to this modesty with their unusual materials, colourful surfaces and sometimes surreal atmosphere.
The carpet was purposely designed using deep, dramatic colors like purple, red and black, creating a feeling of warmth and intimacy. The wallpaper, predominantly red with a black flock, adds a complimentary touch. Storeage coupled the graffiti design with a black and white Memphis-influenced pattern that brings a rock and roll edge.
The largest room is the main hall, with a double-height atrium that operates as a reception area and an event venue. This vertical continuity is accomplished by treating the lower level ceiling as an upside-down landscape that flows towards a large opening in the center, like a hole in a golf course, deliberately punching through an uneven plane.
