Reminding a bit on a cavern itself, these lamps are inspired by carbide lanterns from the past, originally used by miners. The light is diffused by reflection, creating a gently faded glow on the inner surface of the ceramics, while the cable covered with fabric doubles as a handle to easily move the lamp from one spot to another.

Its design is inspired by the process of growth, which underlies the emergence of many shapes in nature. Traces of this approach can even be found in the striking grain pattern on the legs.

The concept for the ‘CONST’ desk lamp is based on three simple elements: a base, body and shape. The components combine expression with function. The marble bottom keeps the octagon-shaped oak frame balanced, while the angle of the aluminum cover can be adjusted by simply rotating it.
