Concept of blank sheet is the main idea of the interior. Basically, it could be transformed to everything: picture, page of a great book or became something totally new. Our blank sheet transformed into multifunctional auditorium and design studio office. The heart of the office is the white cubical meeting room – the gateway between two zones.

Interactive Space oversaw the design, building and fitting out of the project, creating large, open-plan desk areas, with various offices and meeting rooms. The contemporary aesthetic matched the company’s image, while the functional working areas were constructed with productivity in mind.

BP wanted their offices to reflect the changing climate of their company. They wanted to attract a younger professional workforce with a non-corporate atmosphere that was unlike anything they had worked in before — not stuffy and slick. The goal was to create a showpiece that is comfortable to be in and a place that respects the patina and history of the building, which was a historic tax credit project.

It was just about making a bedroom that you felt good to be in.”

The façade’s white dyed glass cladding acts like a canvas that reflects the constantly changing sky on the building. Some of the panels on the façade, controlled by an automation system, are regularly opened on specific hours of the day to let the fresh air in.

Slack branding is kept minimal, with one company logo branded into wood panels by the lift and another lettered in black behind the reception. “The fit-out expresses the company’s desired aesthetic rather than an explicit use of corporate colours and logos,” said ODOS Architects.

In a renovated 80,000 sf warehouse space, engineers will be envisioning, designing and building a city for the future. Every wire, part, and idea forged within these walls will be an artifact of that future. Uber envisioned this space as a cathedral to the values of industry—hard work, dedication, creativity.
