VÈLO7 Cycle Shop by mode:lina architekci, Poznań – Poland

Paired with this was reclaimed oak beams and wood effect laminate to allow a background that let the bikes stand out. A more centralized checkout finished in strips of old oak beams was positioned near the front door, allowing for better interaction with the customers.

South African Bicycle Builders, Cape Town – South Africa

As an extrapolation of the book there’s currently a small exhibition at South African market, a concept store in Cape Town that’s dedicated to local design products. Called South African Bicycle Builders, the exhibition presents a number of these classic bicycles and frames from private collections of a few of Grobler and Engelbrecht’s friends.

The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and is conceptualized as such to appeal to both bike enthusiasts and visitors to paramount building. A sizeable white table prominently showcases a bicycle and matching accessories, but can easily be used for other purposes as tokyobike also plans to stage workshops or exhibitions here as well.

The new runway display allows the product to be viewed higher like at a fashion show, rather than looking down at the product. It also maximizes display space with shelving along the sides. The white coloring works to draw the viewer into the depths of the narrow store.
