Marcelo Burlon Pop-Up store, Tokyo – Japan

Starting out with a hailed line of T-shirts with exuberant and exotic yet street-cred designs, Burlon gradually expanded his collection to a complete men’s wardrobe, and is now testing the water for further expansion into the retail arena. Not shy of a challenge, he has turned to the savvy Japanese market, and opened a standalone pop-up store in Tokyo’s upscale shopping area of Aoyama.

CABaN Hayama store by David Guarino, Kyoto – Japan

The retail space expresses the theme of a luxury resort, boasting a warm atmosphere thanks to the use of natural materials — primarily wood — used throughout. The French-born, Japan-based creative turned to his previous work on the waterfront CABaN café, lounge and terrace, by employing the palettes he used in that build to construct the supporting columns found throughout the lifestyle shop.

Bunulu store by Little, Estero – Florida

The interior store layout is a metaphor for the breaking waves that inspired the angled layout of the fixtures. Fixtures are clustered in stories – much like campfires around which customers gather along the shoreline. A signature deep aqua resin concrete flooring defines the area for the sandbar and customer service.
