Our design brief was to create a familiar and relaxed ambiance, a place where the neighborhood could come together to eat, drink and feel at home. At Itay Gidron Studios, we saw space as a place where the customer would feel like they are entertaining friends in their own backyard.

The ceiling is constructed by a reflective prism-geometry element. One side of the prism is covered by stainless steel in order to reflect the light coming in, making the shop brighter and creating the sensation of a higher and more aired ceiling, and on the other side – a natural green veneer that compliments the space.

The stands of warm pastries and also the refrigerator display were covered with woodworking units combined with oak wood in 2 colors. Cookies stands were designed in a way that allows peeking inside from the street and therefore it was built of iron profiles and nets.

With the touch of white marble for the rectangle tables and cashier stand invigorate the luxury inside the store. The fishbone wood floor with natural color blends a luxurious and calm feeling into the design to create a united and warm atmosphere.

Using the significant ceiling height to its advantage, spatial depth and use of light was carefully planned. The open kitchen and bakery enticed customers with the smell of fresh baked goods and lively atmosphere. The floor plan went through numerous layouts to maintain visual interest, maximize seating count, and support operational function.

A wall completely covered in yellow serving boxes brings an injection of colour to the store, and is intended to reflect the company’s branding. Cheese tarts are presented upon a large tiled table in the middle of the store, along with iPads that are used as tills.

The furniture is a combination of old classic lounge and modern dining chairs. The wooden wall panels , the wooden chairs and tables, the decent blue wallcovering, and the light white lampshades provide coziness and authenticity.

I found an antique oven iron door and we clean it and have used as decoration. Also a few old drawers have been used as shelves. The pillar is cover with an amazing wall paper (looks as old ceramic tiles) from Wall&Decó.
