The combination between the classical interior design and Japanese interior design blend into one strong, original, and unique ‘twist’ of interior design, emphasizing the usage of blue pastel finish to upscale the feminine feel. As additional decorative items at the wall, frames and wall lamps complete and invigorate the touch of classical interior design strengthened by the glass ceiling and glass wall design, enhancing natural sunlight into the interior.

Wall finishes of the new bakery are 30% clad in ivory oak panels with a feature wall composed of hand-finished tiles and a digital mosaic of the iconic Hummingbird Bakery logo. The floor is concrete resin, interlaid with tiles around the counter area in a herringbone pattern, whilst lighting is a mix of bespoke LED halo lights and brushed copper aluminum pendant lights.

The interior space is an overall “L” shape space. Coffee, craft beer and bakery zones take places separately in the three corners of the “L”. Coffee and craft beer zone have white ceilings and floors and the bakery zone is a space with black covered all surfaces. The black and white spaces is divided by the curvy ceiling edge and steel wire.

The ceiling is constructed by a reflective prism-geometry element. One side of the prism is covered by stainless steel in order to reflect the light coming in, making the shop brighter and creating the sensation of a higher and more aired ceiling, and on the other side – a natural green veneer that compliments the space.

The stands of warm pastries and also the refrigerator display were covered with woodworking units combined with oak wood in 2 colors. Cookies stands were designed in a way that allows peeking inside from the street and therefore it was built of iron profiles and nets.

The floor plan went through numerous layouts to maintain visual interest, maximize seating count, and support operational function.

A wall completely covered in yellow serving boxes brings an injection of colour to the store, and is intended to reflect the company’s branding. Cheese tarts are presented upon a large tiled table in the middle of the store, along with iPads that are used as tills.
