A complementary structure that houses the sale counter, demonstration sinks and an embedded bench seat is situated opposite. Meticulously crafted contoured wooden fins are fitted to the ceiling, creating an undulating surface that filters light to mediate the geometries of the interior.

The design consists of an elongated timber counter with varying heights for product presentation, storage and points of sales systems.

The Liquides Perfume Bar, Paris

The new concept perfume-bar in Paris born from the association of David Frossard’s ‘Different Latitudes’, a label for independent perfumers, and designer Philippe Di Méo, is the place to find refined and original fragrances. Liquides’ glazed black facade proudly displaying the golden letters L.I.Q.U.I.D.E.S and its prominent position on a crossroad make it impossible to miss.

In order to limit the variety of the materials used, the shelves and counter are finished in blackened steel, which is also the basis for storage doors assimilated into the mortar wall or mirror wall; the basin that is Aesop’s feature is set near the entrance to effect a good view from the passage.

The design uses a palette of ivory and soft sea green while a black-tiled countertop reiterates the retail space’s utilitarian aesthetic and recasts the modest tile in a scientific manner. European oak has been used for the shelves and flooring, and offer a warm contrast.
