Olivier store by Melt Studio, San Pedro Garza García – Mexico

The metallic structure is an abstract resemblance of cheese slices and serves as the main icon of the store besides providing support for the shelves, lighting in the main island. The color palette played also an important role in this project and served as a strong connection between the simple design and the inviting atmosphere elements, while enhancing the products’ features.

The interior space is an overall “L” shape space. Coffee, craft beer and bakery zones take places separately in the three corners of the “L”. Coffee and craft beer zone have white ceilings and floors and the bakery zone is a space with black covered all surfaces. The black and white spaces is divided by the curvy ceiling edge and steel wire.

These semi-transparent decorative elements mainly re-propose the idea of wooden cranes used for traditional fruit stands in street markets, and this feeling is reinforced by creating a striped canopy on the external shop’s facade. A slope ceiling invites customer to focus on the main yogurt display on top of the counter.
