The main timber truss for the retail shop at the front room introduces the idea of “Structure as furniture”, a free-standing individual component that is detached with the existing wall. The idea of moderate intervention with minimal attaches and less anchoring that will undermine the existing building is taking place in this project.

The Good Kitchen’s branding is designed to be synonymous with delicious meals eaten right there in-store. With this new sub-branding rolled out across serving elements, digital menus and packaging, the result is a branded food experience with an inviting tone of voice that makes it totally irresistible.
Clearly defined by dramatic pendant luminaires, the main counter is designed to work as a shop counter and lean bar at busy times, while converting to a drinks bar in the evening. Behind the counter shelving provides display space, while the materials palette of oiled timber and metro tiles is reminiscent of continental cafes or tapas bars.
