Inside, a contrasting modern and understated interior unfolds, captured by walls clad in sheets of shiny stainless steel and flooring of rosa baveno, a soft pink granite that’s quarried up north in the Lombardy region. The stuccoed ceiling has been dipped in a somewhat bolder pink hue, and forms the backdrop of a custom-made, futuristic lighting installation.

Acne Studios Blå Konst store, Tokyo – Japan

Occupying 70 sqm. [754 sq.ft.] set across the first and second floors of a modern midrise building, the setting concocted by creative director Jonny Johansson includes stainless steel cubes, clothing racks in a golden hue, and mirror displays, all tied in by wall-to-wall fluffy blue carpeting.

The effect has been accomplished by an abundance of gilded metal panels, used to cover walls and create separate shop sections. Clothing is hung on steel clothing racks in the same hue, and mostly line the walls. By stark contrast, the flooring comprises of black asphalt and the substance is also used to clad support pillars.

Walls are covered in shiny steel and paired with linoleum flooring. The shop is sparsely furnished with boxy displays in a matching grey and an occasional contrasting red. The new Acne Studio store carries the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s apparel, shoes and accessories collections.
