We wanted to recover the aesthetics of the ancient apothecaries, creating a label manually modified and classic details. We gave an importance to the skeleton, characteristic of Kiehl’s stores, drawn as a character, with his well maintained beard and his unsullied robe.

We built up the interior as natural continuation of the architecture. By functional design we separated the area into two zones: the front zone was incorporated into the exterior creating public space and feeling of console silhouette of the building; the rear zone was separated through floor and roof design that allowed reducing depth of space while keeping the panorama.

This is a project for a trendy Japanese fashion brand’s chain store in Shanghai. By the juxtaposition of different decoration styles, the design embodies the brand’s characteristics of “variety” and “mix-and-match”, at the same time creates a visual journey for the shoppers.

Neil Barrett’s diffusion line titled “Black Barrett” just recently added its latest retail presence with a new location in Hong Kong’s Central District. The choice of a dark and subdued interior ultimately places a strong emphasis on the product with contrast contributed by the the use of concrete flooring and wooden paneling.

Westside Laser + Light, Calgary, Canada (A.R.E Awards)

This medical laser and aesthetics clinic provides a spa-like environment through the use of natural materials and colors. As the clinic’s name may suggest, light became important in the design. Translucent resin panels were used throughout the space to allow for light to pass through.
