Two 3 meter long painted wood pieces with brass and wood inlay arranged by an african fabric pattern are separated by a thin space where a detailed scale model savannah landscape is melted with a typographic message: “is a whole world to discover”.

An eclectic mix of high-tech and industrial style furniture and fittings contrasts the raw textures and materials with the gadgetry that the team works with. All of the furniture was either made by contractors to dhk’s design or sourced from local designers – with the exception of office chairs and specialised lighting.

Our proposal aims to be iconic, with a sophisticated vibe that should be new but not too unfamiliar to the local market. We decided to stay away from the bright, stereotypical color palette commonly associated with Sub-Saharan Africa and instead went with eternally chic black and white.

POP UP! PUMA Charity Tram, Berlin

As a proud sponsor of African football, Puma joined forces with United for Africa to launch a charity awareness campaign for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. This customised tram travelled on a circular route around the centre of Berlin, host city of the World Cup final, and acted as a mobile Puma store, complete with specially designed merchandise and T-shirt printing service.
