Delta airlines collection by Alessi

The Alessi for Delta collection is based on popular items already on Alessi’s catalogue where each one has been intervened and redesigned in order to fit aviation rules and regulations. The array is comprised of glasses, cutlery, porcelain plates, stainless steel serving tools, salt and pepper shakers and tabletop accessories like napkin rings and bread baskets.

Ordered chronologically from the 1920s to the present day, the event showcases over 50 projects by some of the most famous Italian and International designers and architects – from Ettore Sottsass, Achille Castiglioni and Aldo Rossi to Philippe Starck, Zaha Hadid, Patricia Urquiola, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec – which never made it onto the production line.

Integrated with the faceted geometry of the walls and ceiling, ‘bands of light’ are spaced at regular intervals throughout the store and function primarily as spatial thresholds between one interior module and the next.
