A solid-void partition allows glimpses into the work area which consist of workstations arranged in a large hall in an open plan setting. The hall encompasses all the primary office functions including a conference room, strategically placed to allow view from the office area, and yet occupying an exclusive, individual space.

Clients are able to select finishes off the sliding shelves while architects and designer can post drawings and sketches to the rolling steel doors, using magnets. ‘Planet: Under Construction’ (PUC) is a giant glowing orb which is composed of a central metal spherical framework in which 200 bright orange traffic cones are strapped by bungee cord, giving the suspended lighting installation its powerful shape.

With the new office came the opportunity to implement a more flexible environment. NBBJ chose to provide staff with a variety of activity-based work spaces like collaboration bars, small and large meeting rooms, and unassigned hot zone seating in addition to their open-plan workstations. The variety of spaces allow for both individual work and quick collaborative efforts.

Naturally aged timber from Chinese boats are reconfigured for an installation at the Aesop shop located in Lane Crawford, Hong Kong by Chinese/German architecture firm Cheungvogl. The planks, left in their original state, are made into two floating cabinets.

Hermès never disappoints. The luxury brand has opened its first Paris boutique on the Left Bank in the city’s chic St.-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. Designed by the French architecture firm RDAI—which has been responsible for creating all of Hermès’s stores worldwide—the stunning new shop is built on the site of a former swimming pool that dates from the 1930s.
