An overall muted color palette is used to offset the curated content at the store. All the incidental, residual elements intended as a backdrop, are hence rendered black with a no-sheen, black paint (called blackboard) that is typically used in public schools to refresh the chalkboards.

Swedbank office by 3XN Architects, Stockholm – Sweden

Transparent facades help to underline Swedbank’s OPENNESS towards the surrounding world while highlighting the semi public functions such as restaurant and conference facilities on the lower floors. The sculptural triple-V structure above creates an integrated roof for the main entrance and breaks up the façade in smaller geometric units.

Design of two-storied store for men’s women’s and children’s fashion clothing retail. Situated in a busy shopping street at the front and connecting through to an indoor mall at the rear, the long narrow space require defining architectural input to provide the necessary attraction and definition to the various clothing lines contained in the store.

The store entrusted with affirming the first retail outlet of this fashion label is a kind of landscape of tectonic plates translated into architectural form. The criteria applied to the restructuring of the premises, and to completely revising the sense of the existing building shell, express an uninhibited approach that artfully dovetails architecture and graphics with elements of sculpture and set-design.
