Considering the construction costs, we wanted to make good balance of Japanese people’s preference. We used contemporary methods in total and filled with combinations of beautiful town scenery and clusters of Spanish bars.

SUYI Chinese Pastry Shop by SlowStudio, Suzhou – China

The space presents itself both as a boutique shop and a snack bar; a band of strips wraps both walls and roof to glorify products in the center of the space. On the display side, the strips are extruded creating surfaces to become shelves and as they reach the ground furniture pieces complement the gesture with the complexity and elegance characteristic of eastern modern taste.
