The entrance area is one of the most representative of space, with a structure of ripples and curves in white, emerging from the walls, becoming space volumes. It is not just a decorative element, but also a functional component, which support elements to exhibit the collection.

The shop, located in a modernist historical space in the center of Barcelona, close to Las Ramblas, has an open kitchen, which offers the posibility to watch the cooking process of some of their products or participate in its workshops. Outstanding products like chöks, chocolate bonbons, chocolate covered churros and chips.

Frankfurt Station fast food restaurant by Egue y Seta, Barcelona

Meanwhile in the rear dining area, the guests are to be accommodated according to the classic seating arrangement of a train: On double opposite seats facing each other accross from a table by a window consisting of a backlit shelving unit dotted with pieces of greenery. Through this “static window”, rather than admiring the landscape, “travelers” are invited to peek at the world of beers.

Nostalgia for authenticity, for the past that is all around us – this holds true for the foreign tourist more than anyone. The logo is inspired by the family’s ancient crests and by the aged wood panels that share the space with the yellow LED lighting, by the copper strongboxes with their centuries-old coats of arms. An old iron cabinet serves as the backdrop for creating window displays.

Each corner has differentiated exhibitors following the design of each brand. Thus, the furniture in one of the corners has a white lacquered cabinet with shelves and drawers, in another one we have implanted metal furniture with spikes, for hanging products, and the third is made up of several wooden shelves in similar tone to the floor pavement.

The main challenge put to Green Room in developing the marketplace concept was to evolve the existing Timberland store design format, whilst retaining the authenticity of the brand while providing greater flexibility across different territories/markets, a greater use of layering to give a sense of ‘lightness’ in store, creating a visual and sensory shift within store, and facilitating emotional storytelling through product and lifestyle displays.

The wooden element in our design comes with the spectacular ceiling designed as a forest of entwined branches, becoming one of the main protagonists of the space. The light crosses the ceiling projecting a warm tinkling of lights and shadows on every surface of the restaurant.

The monochrome design of the shop helped to maintain the minimalist effect so that the colourful and dramatic products on display were immediately brought to the shopper´s attention. The whole shop was painted in white including the furniture and all the props in the shop.
