VANS Headquarters by Rapt Studio, Costa Mesa – California

Designed with workspaces for creative self-expression and ‘Off the Wall’ culture, the headquarters was made to embody the company’s evolution. As Vans’ longstanding design partner, Rapt Studio created the office to celebrate the four pillars of the Vans brand – Art, Music, Action Sports, and Street Culture and Fashion.

Healthy Spot store by AkarStudios, Costa Mesa – California

The spacious mid-century modern showroom accommodates several retail sections, day care, and a spa area of the Healthy Spot brand. The graphic presence runs throughout the project in the form if colorful floor-to-ceiling digitally printed murals.

Quiksilver Young Men’s Store by Clive Wilkinson Architects, Costa Mesa – California

Designed as an undulating wooden tunnel, swelling surfaces create a variety of display areas providing shelving and integrated lighting. Where the form of the rolling walls and ceilings refer to the surfer on the ocean waves, the materialization evokes the environment of surfing on the land: skateboarding.

Fixtures Living store by Fitch, Costa Mesa

The high-end appliance and fixtures showroom features a residential quality. Three “experience labs” and 30 vignettes designed by local studios showcase products in home settings, including a bathroom with a private spa/shower, a kitchen with an ultra-modern demonstration component, and a patio in the outdoor section. In labs, customers can insert appliances they would like to see to envision products at home.
