The same brass is used for the lights that are custom made to fit the space and within shelfs and counter top of the lobby. Concrete for which DAS-studio has a particular affection, was used to cast the front desk.

The use of retro materials like the familiar Venetian straw cabinets and wooden shelves combined with the exposed concrete celling and concrete floor brings out a little bit the Berlin atmosphere.

The structure of the hall interior is determined by two ridge-roof buildings containing two floors of individual offices. Together with the old foreman’s office, they form an ensemble which produces the effect of a roofed village square in the intervening space.

The bar is the main element of the interior (almost over scaled for such a small place) and has a jack that allows it to rise from 80 cm during the day to 110 cm in the evenings. It is finished from raw metal sheets for the front face and Corten and oak massive wood for the counter top.
