Our ambition was to blend the relaxed, welcoming feel of a high-end salon with a modern and bold twist, using mainly black & white elements, modernist typography and repeating the typical barbershop stripes to create a dazzling effect.

Feminine seduction culled from the ambience and palette of a 17th-century Rembrandt painting is at the heart of the shoe shop Bethsabee. The painting’s frame became a subtle interior feature used in the decoration of the ultra-long counter and walls.

SHOE STORES! V di Ventura shoe shop by Creneau International, Belgium

Ventura is an abbreviation of Bonaventur, meaning “Good Luck” or literally “Good Adventure”. An open, transparant shop front with a central gate and high windows attract the eyes of passers-by. An entree with a high ceiling is created, giving the entrance the appearance of a sacred space of contemplation.

So when we were asked to come up with a concept for a glasses shop, we had a clear vision on what we didn’t want it to look like. Luckily, the people from Eye Candy shared this vision and trusted us blindly.

The pair courteously asked Creneau International to turn the new shop location into a theatrical yet stylish décor, where – like in every fairy tale – the perfect shoe always finds its perfect owner.
