Standard Products has developed a first collection of objects — stool, cupboard, and lamp — constructed through digital fabrication. They combine 3D-printed components with standard materials such as wooden planks and beams, available in local hardware stores.

Flat panels on a multi-coloured wall slide, swing and roll out to create a secret tea shop in a São Paulo shopping centre. Designed by Brazilian architect Alan Chu, the counter of The Gourmet Tea slides forward from beneath a purple hatch, while shelves can be wheeled out from behind a grey panel and a cupboard emerges from behind a large brown door.
This visually spectacular, ultra-modern furniture is from Horm, and designed by Steven Holl. The Riddled table and cupboard cast a beautiful pattern upon the floor and surfaces around it – an unexpected and inspiring feature. Light streams through the cut-outs in the walnut veneered legs of the table, emerging from within.
