Digital fabrication furnitures by Standard Products

Standard Products has developed a first collection of objects — stool, cupboard, and lamp — constructed through digital fabrication. They combine 3D-printed components with standard materials such as wooden planks and beams, available in local hardware stores.

To give the customer a true denim experience we created a 20 meter long cupboard colored in IKB filled with jeans. This large aluminum structure has two library stairs and presentation bars for hanging jeans.

Contesto Alimentare restaurant by POINT studio, Torino

The idea behind this project was to convey the feel of a traditional, old fashioned eatery using contemporary design. The central focus of the space is a large cupboard placed opposite the entrance.

The Gourmet Tea by Alan Chu, São Paulo

Flat panels on a multi-coloured wall slide, swing and roll out to create a secret tea shop in a São Paulo shopping centre. Designed by Brazilian architect Alan Chu, the counter of The Gourmet Tea slides forward from beneath a purple hatch, while shelves can be wheeled out from behind a grey panel and a cupboard emerges from behind a large brown door.

Weave cupboard by Lukas Dahlén

Inspired by the most common kind of wood and weed weaving the Weave cupboard represents an enlarged version of the technique of weaving something soft around a more stable structure. The top and bottom plane of the cupboard is held together by sticks kept together like a Windsor chair.

We’ve had a great time with this project: we’ve made door collages, invented one legged furniture, put part of the floor on the wall, made doors look like cupboards and hung paintings on the wall. Nevertheless, Bobby Gin looks pretty Normal.

This visually spectacular, ultra-modern furniture is from Horm, and designed by Steven Holl. The Riddled table and cupboard cast a beautiful pattern upon the floor and surfaces around it – an unexpected and inspiring feature. Light streams through the cut-outs in the walnut veneered legs of the table, emerging from within.
