Kossmann.dejong has designed the new display for the Danish National Maritime Museum in Helsingør. The exhibition spaces are all underground, surrounding a former dry dock. The architectural design comes from the well-known Danish architectural practice BIG.

This dynamic colour presence is the only vibrancy amongst the raw interior pallet. It was essential for the space to consist of mainly a neutral pallet so that all the focus can be drawn to the vibrancy of the food. The interior can be described as a blank canvas and the food the art itself.

The Danish based brand Jack & Jones and the shopdeveloper experts at Riis Retail has opened a shop based on a new architectural concept which embraces and defines the five different brands within the brand: Core, Vintage, Tech, Originals and Premium. The five brands are placed in their own individually defined areas with unique characteristics and have separate entrances inside the shop.

The facade underlines the French “Boutique” look with its brassdetails and black,z handpainted look. Inside, the shop is based on elegant design, with focus on simplicity, quality, and texture. The PH Artichoke is considered to be a classical masterpiece made by Poul Henningsen more than 40 years ago. The structure is made of twelve steel arches. On this structure PH placed 72 copper “leaves” in twelve circular rows with six blades in each row.

Black Fiber 40 optic lamp by Refer + Staer

Black Fiber 40 is a fiber optic light inspired by the classical lamp shape with an exclusive futuristic touch. The shade provides light itself through the fiber optics and due to the transparent fibers it creates a sparkling and airy feeling. Powered by LED from two light sources it provides both functional and decorative light. The LED meet the requirements for a low energy consumption and a long lifespan of the bulbs.
