The goal was a contemporary, clean, open-concept environment where employees can more freely create and collaborate on ideas, projects and products that improve the lives of patients worldwide. Other goals for the expansion and the design were to bring more jobs to San Diego, and to attract, develop and retain employees that embody the Volcano spirit.

Urban bakery café by Joey Ho Design, Hong Kong – China

The café interior contains a collection of images that summarise the impression of an urban city. A feature wall by celebrated Portuguese street artist VHILS sets the industrial tone of the café. This unique mural is carved by using drills, chisels and hammers, using the negative space to shape a mesmerizing collage.

The luxury idea, as the store name itself suggests, is rendered by matching dark and clear colours, with some touches of sparkling details in chrome and mirror. The simple and elegant shapes are underlined by a skillful use of the light.

The interior design is an extension of The Juice Truck brand – brightly coloured walls, fruit-inspired art and wallpaper and clean / modern furniture and lighting create a fun and inviting space for the community and customers. A juice bar and community space comprise the front space, with a full commissary and production space in the back.

The overall design features a black shiny entrance with “ORA Creation” illuminating above in LED light to give a bold contrast to the more neutral shades behind the logo. On the left of the entrance is a diagonal, vertical wall where a panel is fixed, which outlines the various designer brands sold there.

We draw on the red and timber color serve as key elements in design, decorated with the Nautical-style rope curtains that hang from ceiling to floor add a touch of contemporary elegance. Upon arrival at the ground floor lobby, guests are welcomed by vermilion rope curtains floating along the stairs and cylindrical light boxes.

W Mexico City’s Living Room by nemaworkshop, Mexico City – Mexico

Throughout the lobby, nemaworkshop used Polanco as a backdrop, developing a design saturated by colors, shapes and textures, paying homage to Mexico City’s rich history. A pyramid, with hidden messages only visible at night, greets newcomers in the lobby and intimate pockets with laser-cut screens and chairs with backings reminiscent of a mask conceal VIP guests.

estudiHac has created the known as Ham-rock corner, where it has designed a large neon ham that remember to the famous Hard Rock guitars, just next to the big podium for the go-go/master ham and a large sculpture of a red chicken, ‘the chicken-teacher’, which shows the ‘neo-cañís’ phrases.
