Much of the products are presented as self-service items with more premium pens and gifts displayed under glass. Materials were selected to remain functional and to provide a neutral background to the product whilst clearly linking to the strong brand colours of Black and Yellow.

The key factor of this store was the branding arranged to collaborate with Italian bland to blend into the Japanese market, to let customers visiting from overseas as well as for Japanese consumers to feel the beauty of Japanese people and the likeness of Japan, rather than just expanding overseas brand as they are in Japan as is.

Inside, the new design aims to create a fresh and welcoming environment where customers are encouraged to browse and buy rather than be sold to. All devices in the store are live as plastic dummy handsets have been removed. This enables customers to try out different handsets for themselves rather than wait for a member of staff to demonstrate the phones for them.

Uniqlo flagship store by Wonderwall, Tokyo

UNIQLO has opened global flagship stores in Europe and the United States, and has now opened a new store in Ginza, Tokyo. The twelve-story building with a full height glass façade serves as a showcase of the UNIQLO brand, and its atrium-like first and second floor creates a voluminous yet controlled space.
