Decided to bring the hexagonal shape with circle to form of domed ceiling structure, so that we can feel the curvature of the moon. And added hexagonal lusters with white acrylic gives the resemblance of the real moon. Mixing the ceiling structure with a wooden texture gives more depth to the focal point of the concept.

The material palette is light and natural, with lots of ash wood used in the flooring and joinery. The cool light blue and grey tones of the interior, along with soft fabrics and natural surfaces, contribute to the overall warmth.

The first Ghawali store opened its doors in Dubai Festival City on 26th August, followed by a second store in City Walk in September; with three Ghawali stores also opened in Riyadh and Jeddah. This is only the beginning as the Chalhoub Group plans on expanding Ghawali to the entire region within the next five years.

The space is dotted with custom-made fixtures and furnishing, including suspended brass lanterns hanging in space, beautifully contrasting wall, ceiling and floor mosaics that mimic Dubai’s dynamic skyline.

SARGON restaurant by 4SPACE, Dubai – UAE

The brass bead curtain suspended from the ceiling around the seating areas to give a feel of privacy. Brass linear elements distributed through the wood elements, with an illuminated Onyx bottom. Part of the restaurant walls cladded with backlit onyx marble and other part with gold leaf finish.

Karamna Alkhaleej restaurant by 4SPACE, UAE – Dubai

These strips distributed in the restaurant ceiling and overlapped with each other as palm leaves, this design helped to draw attention away from the open black ceiling and gave a visual depth.

Scales Tiles by Giles Miller Studio at Buddha Bar, Dubai – UAE

Mixing a range of ceramic finishes including up to four metallic glazes in matt, high gloss, and crackled bronze the studio created this undulating bar front artwork for multiple areas within Buddha Bar Dubai that references the scaley surface of a dragon’s skin.
