Along the perimeter the clothes hang from a shelf. An entire wall is covered with backlit mirrors amplifying the perception of the narrow ground floor. Tables and counter are real jewels. Designed and manufactured as unique pieces for Idrisi in the shape of cages or as a huge crumpled aluminum sheet.

BEAMS shops by Jamo associates, Nagasaki

Jamo used white stucco walls and chic wooden display fixtures throughout the store and created a relaxed atmosphere with an awareness of the diversity of customers’ age groups. The shop’s ceilings were finished with a lattice pattern in narrow wooden ribs, which allowed Jamo to neatly arrange such functional facilities as air conditioning vents.

Mona Kim projects: Uniqlo window installations

Paris-based studio Mona Kim Projects has been involved in the development of window installations for japanese clothing brand Uniqlo. The first was a simultaneous three global city art installation presented as part of Uniqlo’s ‘Heattech’ global campaign for the company’s New York, Paris and London flagship stores. In a concerted effort to break out of the typical traditional approach to retail environments, Mona Kim proposed a bold and high-impact spatial experience that communicates the innovation of the product and that which implements a forward-thinking approach to visual merchandising.
