Using a generic module (2” wooden bars) as ruling element, different combinations and junction systems were generated. The main objective was to find a strong and simple junction system that could solve the mooring point of three bars.

The hair is formed by pieces of painted cardboard, assembled in order to make the shape of the crown. The lattice texture forms a simple yet elaborate pattern around the installation and allows light to pass through evenly into the interior.

Each canopy unit is structurally connected to its neighboring pieces via a watertight capping, with drainage taking place at a series of central supporting columns.

For the second year in a row, Tuxedo designed and created a LARGE RUNWAY TERRACE for the 2014 Montreal Fashion and Design Festival, in collaboration with the Quebec Forest Industry Council, at the Festival’s new location at Place des Festivals, right in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles.

HORIZON restaurant installation for London Design Festival 2014

As the construction was used sea container permanently connected to the truck. This pop-up system allowed to spread up zone to 90 m2. The interior maintained in white to bring out the colors of brand logos and its details.
