Custom perimeter units designed to fit into recessed alcoves in the surrounding walls were made using the 25|25 modular system for a sleek, modern and monochromatic look and feel.

Spazio CEDIT by Florim Ceramiche Spa, Milan – Italy

On two levels with a total floor area of over 200 square meters, the new “Spazio CEDIT” maintains the same stylistic identity as the Fiorano Modenese showroom, both constructed to an architectural design by Turin firm BRH+. The ground floor is intended to house specific installations which will succeed each other over time, exhibiting the various contents of CEDIT’s experimental design work in unusual ways.

Magasin du Nords Flagship store in Copenhagen has introduced a new fragrance concept – a lighter and cleaner scandinavian take on a fragrance shop. White tiles and wooden details create the base for the fragrance.

Circular shapes cover every vertical and horizontal surface of the interior. Some shelving made of circular units with different diameters has been placed on the perimeter, thus enclosing the space. It contains the injection collection and the flowerpots on some mirror shelves.

The choice of materials palette, initially inspired by the brief, during the design phase became more related to our desire to experiment with materials, especially casted concrete and explore themes of form and frame. In fact the brass is introduced to the space in its standardize form, directly informing the concrete table and podiums.

The soft tone of large oak floorboards laid in a large-scale herringbone pattern goes perfectly with the rough surface of the internal walls treated with a fine-grained, mineral based plaster. The protagonists of the showroom are certainly the Occhio products themselves, displayed on so-called „space-stations“ – representing the Occhio universe.

Taking reference from the iconic housing estates of London we brought the outside inside with reclaimed chimney pots used as planters and even a piece of the London streets in the form of a reclaimed pavement light re-purposed as a coffee table. Sourced mid-century British furniture, phone charging facilities and local magazines offer an inviting retreat from the busy streets of Soho.

Two golden and continuous horizontal bands along the walls define the perspective lines. They suggest a clear path to follow and separate the volumes. The shelves draw two steady contours without interruption along the walls, at times changing height to enliven the display. Traditional clothes-hanger bars are substituted with single brushed brass square loops that emphasize the importance of each garment, making it stand out along the walls and spotlighting its uniqueness.

The project’s main concept relies on a minimalistic and no-design spirit, by using a rhythmic display along the side walls that allows for a more dramatic segmentation of the merchandising and that accommodates the existing furniture in a coherent dialogue based on materials and design.

The Florentine brand store occupies an area of about 1300 sqm divided between the ground floor, where around a courtyard emerge decorated vault, columns with capitals made of pietra serena stone and a terracotta floor, and a first floor where instead there are no original elements of the building.
