The stunning wall covered with wooden pieces of the actual beech barrels that the company uses for the cheese aging in their factory, the big pendant lights that resemble the metal hoops of those barrels, and the floor tiles that make a strong reference to the Greek color palette.

Mrs. Pound restaurant by NCDA, Hong Kong – China

Mrs. Pound is divided into two main spaces with yin and yang aesthetics: the lower dining area is all about feminine glamour through the use pink leather banquettes, mirrored marquee lights, pink patterned chinese tile and delicate gold accents, while the upper dining area features an opposite counterpoint through the use of diagonal concrete panels, green floor tiles, green bar stools and striking neon artwork.

The interior has been reshaped most dramatically where there was most freedom to do so – on the ceiling plane. Here, a traditional form reminiscent of Orthodox churches and monasteries has been contemporized in ten imposing, intersecting domes, finished with matte gypsum plaster to accentuate their varying proportions.
